Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

Regarding the game. After you add game shortcut at me try to configure the added item (right click on it and "edit" option). Try to specify there working directory. This should helps.

Regarding photoshop - really strange behavior. Do you reproduce this issue each time you launch the photoshop?

Thanks,

Alexey.

Hello Alexey, Thank You, the "working directory" trick did the job :) but why it happened? any solution to fix this in future releases so users don't have to fix this manually? I should say that after running "world of goo" the ME window behave like Photoshop problem and YES this happens every time :(( I myself suspicious about directX and Opengl cause firefly effect(better to say that any animate effects) of ME will be disable after lunching Photoshop and world of goo!! so something should be wrong about graphic/vga; Only thing I'm doing right now is downloading new nvidia driver that is v197.45 and will try it to see if it's helpful or not. Is there anything more, I can do to specify this bug's source?! Regards...

I have created Work Item for this issue. This will be implemented at subsequent releases. Please, vote for it.

It will be great if you try to reproduce the issue using another use case. I think it is not related to launching application. Try to show/hide several times the application, try to open application and press at any other application at the background.

This will very helpfull for us if you try to reproduce the issue in another way.

Thanks,

Alexey.

Hi, ardipa!

We fixed problem with working directory.

With next release you will see it working.

With CS4 - on 2008 R2 I don't have any problems.

Will check today on my XP at home.

Ardipa, seems that this is kind of common issue with WPF/Photoshop coworking, and noticed on XP only.

I see 2 potential ways to move:

1. Contact MS support and get some information about resolving this issue. Hope, Alexey (Strashok) will help us with this.

2. Add some code to "refresh animations" after launching Photoshop or after opening above Photoshop window

Ardipa,

I am to submit issue to Microsoft. I need some additional information:

1. Is issue with Photoshop reproduced with "world of Goo"?

2. Is this issue reproduced with any other program?

3. Could you please send us a screen shot of ME during strange behavior?

4. Is changing active tab helps you to restore animation?

Thank you again for feedback!!

Waiting for your response!

Alexey, here are some details I found out: a. It's only with Photoshop CS4 b. ME just stops all animations like after lock/unlock desktop on XP c. The issue with World Of Goo is different one.

Ok here is what I've got so far:

1. Is issue with Photoshop reproduced with "world of Goo"? Yes!! The issue(stop animation of ME) reproduced with "World of Goo" too.

2. Is this issue reproduced with any other program? No, So far with "Photoshop CS4" and the game "World of Goo" only.

3. Could you please send us a screen shot of ME during strange behavior? Yes, I'm capturing a small movie about issue so it explains everything...

4. Is changing active tab helps you to restore animation? Yes!!!! Changing active tab helps to restore ME animation :)

Please wait, I'm gonna submit my screen capture's link for more checkup...
