[bug] Memory Maxed Out

Oct 7, 2010 at 5:22 PM

Made issue posting for discussion also.

This bug was caused by opening a very large picture (200MB 29566px*14321px) in 'Fast Picture Viewer' w/ smart image resizing turned off so the full sized image will be loaded into RAM.
When RAM is completely used up (and recovered) ME no longer responds to its assigned activation command. It can still appear by clicking the tray icon.
Tabs cannot be scrolled through (this actually happens all the time regardless of memory usage), though you can still click the tabs' titles to switch between them.
When the settings/about dialog is opened ME crashes (no log entry is created)

Win7Prox64, 6GB RAM, Corei7-960, ME_1.9.8.0

P.S. When scrolling stops working in other (non-memory-related) instances, it can be fixed by opening the settings dialog then clicking OK.

Also how can I reverse scrolling direction?

Curretnly it is not possible to invert scroll direction.

Just had this problem again, from a cold boot though. So it seems it's not strictly a memory issue.
